Time away from the kids left me feeling Ro guilty
Davison will miss DWTS but excited to get back to family
AXED Dancing with the Stars contestant Rosanna Davison cried “tears of frustration” after feeling incredible “mum guilt” while being on the show.
The former Miss World and her pro dance partner Stephen Vincent were voted off on Sunday night, but the mother-of-three said she accepted the judges’ decision after she found herself in the dance-off for a second time.
Rosanna, 39, added: “I am very accepting of what happened.
“I am obviously going to miss the whole experience and miss all my new friends and my Dancing with the Stars family.
“I am going to miss working with Stephen, of course. I am delighted to make it to week eight and to have experienced orchestra. I am a total dance beginner, so I am so proud of myself to get to week eight and giving it all I got.
“I was feeling more mentally tired this week with the juggle between having three little children at home, who really need me.
“The schedule is intense with filming and rehearsing every day during the week.
“My children have been really missing me.
“Wes has been great looking after them at the weekend but I was feeling ‘mum guilt’ this week.
“It is the week I struggled most, definitely. I felt more emotionally up and down this week because I felt the strain of the children missing me.
“I just began to feel mentally drained. It is a big commitment.
“For the contestants without kids it is still a massive commitment, but I have been waking up at 4am or 5am with the kids to get them to school and getting them home.
“I have been packing their lunch boxes and doing their laundry. It has been a lot.
“At the same time, I have enjoyed every minute of it and I put everything I had into it. I have no regrets about my time on the show.”
But the Dubliner said she’s going to enjoy her weekends again with Sophia, four, and three-year-old twins Oscar and Hugo.
She added: “I feel really happy that it is the right time to get back to my family. They are my priority.”
