A 10-YEAR-OLD boy who lost his fight for life after a car crash has been hailed a “superhero” after his mum revealed he saved five lives.

Dylan Coady-coleman was injured in a road collision on Sunday afternoon, February 25, in Purcell Park, Shannon, Co Clare.

He was airlifted to University Hospital Limerick following the incident and after treatment there and subsequently at Temple Street Hospital in Dublin, he was sadly pronounced dead on Wednesday morning.

Now his mum Laura Coady has revealed hero Dylan has now saved five young lives by donating his organs.

In a post on social media, proud Laura wrote: “All going well, just got amazing news. He will be saving five lives tonight.”

Laura went on to explain how Dylan came home from school about a month ago and told her that they were talking about organ donation in school.

“And if we didn’t mind….if anything ever happened to him, he would like to donate something or anything. This wasn’t us, all him,” proud Laura revealed.

Pals commented in her post, calling Dylan “such an amazing little boy, a superhero,” and another wrote “He was a beautiful caring little boy. Now your angel,” and another wrote: “That really shows how much of a caring and thoughtful little boy he was every day. A beautiful little hero he is.”

Earlier, Laura, who gave birth to a baby boy as her son lost his fight for life, revealed Dylan “got to meet his little brother”.

Baby Shane Dylan Coady-coleman was born on Tuesday to parents Laura and Garry Coleman.

Garry announced the arrival with a picture on Facebook and confirming her little boy’s passing on Wednesday, heartbroken Laura has told how Dylan’s organs will be donated to children in need.

Dylan’s school, St Tolas NS in Shannon, paid an emotional tribute to him, describing him as a “beloved pupil.”

The school said in a heartbreaking statement: “It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the tragic death of our beloved pupil Dylan Coady-coleman.

“Dylan is a much loved 4th class pupil in St Tolas NS. His gorgeous smile and kind heart endeared him to everyone in our school community. He will be greatly missed.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his Mum Laura, dad Garry, little sister Zoe and new baby brother Shane.”

Meanwhile, a Gofundme page set up to support the grieving family of little Dylan has now raised more than €46,000.
