Chop chop... look sharp with a bob
The haircut of 2024 is set to be the short, sharp bob, and actresses Emma Stone and Ayo Edebiri have been leading the fashion pack during awards season, showcasing their stylish dos on the red carpet.
Like a red lipstick for your hair, a bob cut instantly makes you look “done”, super-stylist Paul Windle says.
“Our clients are stepping out of the salon with razor-sharp geometric bobs – very groomed, with clean lines that are technically very well cut. Think sharp, clean, square, one length bobs,” says Paul, founder of the Windle London salon and Windle Labs products.
Here’s how to care for this top crop.
IN THE CUT

Your stylist might recommend a certain length depending on your face shape – follow their advice to ensure the finished cut suits you. Regular trims “Have your bob trimmed every six to eight weeks to get rid of dead ends and keep it sharp,” says Paul.
It is about looking polished, so no straggly split ends.
Easy blow dry “Use your head, brushing the hair around the head and pointing the hair dryer all in one direction until dry, before changing direction,” says Paul.
“The head creates a slight curve, and the hair dries straight, shiny, and slightly tucks under.”
