ALLIANZ NFL MATCHBOX: DIVISION 2
Cavan v Meath
Kingspan Breffni, 7pm
WINS over Louth and Kildare in the last two weeks have eased Meath’s relegation fears.
Another victory here would give them an outside shot at promotion, with fixtures against Cork and Donegal to come.
Cavan’s credentials seem more realistic in that regard and a win would set them up for a likely winner-takes-all clash in Armagh next weekend.
VERDICT: Cavan
Cork v Kildare Tomorrow, Pairc Ui Chaoimh, 3.30pm
A CERTAIN combination of results could see Kildare relegated with two games to spare this weekend. Even if it’s not official, it is implausible that they could stay up if they lose for the fifth time from as many games tomorrow.
Cork finally got off the mark in Fermanagh last weekend and look well placed to move up the table from here.
VERDICT: Cork
Fermanagh v Armagh
Brewster Pk, 6pm (BBC iplayer)
The points are getting hard to come by now for Fermanagh, who may be left to rue Cork’s smashand-grab in Edernery last Sunday.
They will have Kieran Mcgeeney’s (inset) respect, having beaten his side well at Brewster Park in the 2018 Ulster Championship.
Armagh have kicked on since, however, and look set to maintain their promotion push.
VERDICT: Armagh
Donegal v Louth
Tomorrow, Ballyshannon, 2pm THREE narrow defeats from four games has left Louth in a precarious position and they wouldn’t have been eyeing this game as one to ease the pressure.
Fortunately, their closing fixtures against Fermanagh and Kildare are far more winnable.
Donegal haven’t done much wrong since Jim Mcguinness’s return and can move within touching distance of promotion.
