Dormting prospect
Louis excited for show but isn’t looking forward to the sleeping arrangements
LOUIS Walsh admitted he “fears” having to share a bedroom with fellow Celebrity Big Brother stars.
The former X Factor judge was the second star to enter the famous house on Monday night, alongside his longtime pal Sharon Osborne.
But before he went inside, the 71-year-old Mayo man admitted he already doesn’t like the sleeping arrangements.
He said: “Sharing bedroom with so many other people, I’ve not done that since boarding school, and I hated it then.”
The Westlife manager said he wants to have “fun” on the show and meet “nice people”.
He added: “I’m not getting any younger and I just want to have fun so when the opportunity for this came up, I thought let’s do it.”
But he said he “cannot stand people who are loud and arrogant”.
Walsh described himself as “easygoing, fun and mischievous” but he also revealed habits that his fellow housemates won’t like about him, adding: “I don’t cook, like at all, I can only just make a cup of tea and even then, I use the microwave.”
When asked how he will cope without a phone, he said: “I’ll be fine, I lived for years without one, remember payphones!”
Walsh is rumoured to have been paid over half a million euro for his time on the show.
But bookies reckon the music mogul has already fallen out of favour with punters after he entered the
a house. There was an immediate twist for the new cohort of housemates when music mogul Louis and his fellow X Factor judge Sharon were sent to a secret lair to cast a watchful eye on their fellow housemates and choose three to face an early eviction.
Boylesports spokesman Lawrence Lyons said the move made punters not warm to Louis and Sharon as the bookies pushed Louis’ odds to win out to 16/1 from 6/1 when the show launched on Monday night. He said: “Sharon and Louis were watching from afar when three housemates were thrown into the ring of fire, but punters aren’t warming to the X Factor duo and it could be a short stay if the odds are on the money.”
Sharon also faces a challenge to navigate her way through the series as she was placed among the outsiders at odds of 20/1 alongside Gary Goldsmith, an uncle of Princess of Wales Kate Middleton.
Bradley Riches, star of Netflix show Heartstopper, and Coronation Street actor Colson Smith have been made early favourites to go all the way at 7/2, while other housemates rated potential winners include Dragons Den entrepreneur Levi Roots, 4/1, Love Island winner Ekin-su Culculoglu 9/2 and former This Morning host Fern Britton 8/1.
