THE Marty Party is back for one night only – when the sports commentator joins Riverdance for the Dancing With The Stars final.

Morrissey, 65, is one of a host of famous faces from the last seven series of the hit RTE One show who are returning for the iconic routine on Sunday night.

He will be joined by Bernard O’shea, Cliona O’hagan, Ryan Andrews, Ellen Keane, Lottie Ryan, Brian Dowling and Suzanne Jackson. Marty said: “I’m delighted to be back on Dancing With The Stars, dancing in the final is where I rightfully belong!

“It’s such a privilege to not only be back but also to be dancing Riverdance.

“It’s an act that has added to Irish culture worldwide and getting a chance to get the legs up on St Patrick’s Day makes it even better. We’ve a fantastic group of alumni whose company I’m thoroughly enjoying and very much looking forward to taking over the dance floor once more! Sure, we’ll dazzle brighter than the Glitterball trophy.”

Previous champ and 2FM presenter Lottie said: “I’m being given the incredibly rare and prestigious opportunity of dancing with Riverdance, 30 years after my dad first introduced this iconic masterpiece to the world.”

Competing for the Glitterball are paralympian Jason Smyth and his partner Karen Byrne, drag queen Blu Hydrangea and their partner Simone Arena, TV and radio presenter Laura Fox and her professional partner Denys Samson along with Wild Youth singer David Whelan and partner Salome Chachua.

Wrapping up the final, the returning couples of the series will have a group performance set to Murder on the Dancefloor by Sophie Ellis-bextor.
