Europa League, Roundd of 16, 2nd Leg, Liverpool lead 5-1 on aggregate, KO 8pm

DOMINIK SZOBOSZLAI certainly does not lack confidence.

The Liverpool midfielder said “Hi, everybody” when he breezed into his press conference at Anfield yesterday before departing with “bye, bye,” clearly enjoying being the centre of attention.

So it should come as no surprise that he wants to win the quadruple in this first season with Liverpool.

The Mersey men have already won a record 10th Carabao Cup and are on target for glory in the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup.

Szoboszlai is delighted to have the League Cup safely in the trophy cabinet, even though he missed the final with a hamstring injury, and wants to complete the clean sweep with the Reds. “It’s a good feeling,” said the 23-year-old, who has six goals and two assists this season. “We have already won one and we have three more left.

“I want to win all four but we have to go game by game.

“We cannot look yet to the end of the season because there’s a long way to go, a lot of games. There’s Europe, the FA

Cup on Sunday, and then after the international break the Premier League starts again. But we’re ready.”

Liverpool have all but booked their place in the Europa

League quarter-finals ahead of tonight’s second leg against Sparta Prague after winning 5-1 last week.

And Szoboszlai says they are confident of success in every competition.

However he says title rivals Manchester City and Arsenal will also be bullish about their chances.

“We have quite a good chance but everyone thinks like this,” said the Hungary skipper. “If you ask the City players, they would think they have a good chance, the Arsenal players would think they have a good chance.

“Me? I think we have a good chance, but we have to work for it.”

Szoboszlai believes Liverpool fans have yet to see the best of him, despite his impressive start to the season and his trademark long-range goals.

He insists he can do even better as he works his way back to full matchfitness for Liverpool.

“I’m working every day to get into my best shape,” he said. “If you think my best shape was at the start of the season, it wasn’t. I can be better.”

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who wants to give his big names game time tonight with Manchester United looming into view in the FA Cup on Sunday, says Mohamed Salah is ready to make his first start for the club since New Year’s Day.

Salah has made two substitute appearances since returning from his second hamstring injury and Klopp (left) said: “He’s ready to start. Will he have 90 minutes on the pitch? It depends how it looks in the moment. But we all know Mo usually can play game after game after game.”
