Glenda hand in the kitchen and make tea if you want to win Louis

Music mogul’s pal Gilson offers advice on Celebrity Big Brother

LOUIS Walsh needs to get into the kitchen, start cooking and make his housemates a cup of tea if he wants to win Celebrity Big Brother.

That’s the advice of his close friend and confidante, the model and former TV star Glenda Gilson.

The long-time Xpose presenter has been by Louis’ side on the Dublin social scene for years.

She said yesterday: “I think he is doing very well in the house and I think he can win it.

“I thought he might struggle when Sharon Osbourne left because the two of them are very close and as thick as thieves, but he has coped very well.

“He comes across as very humorous which he is and he has delivered some great one-liners. What people are seeing is the real Louis Walsh, he absolutely says what he thinks, whether you like it or not and he is genuinely a very funny person.

“He calls a spade a spade and hates people trying to be something that they are not.

“But if he really wants to win he needs to get into the kitchen, cook something for his housemates or make them a cup of tea. It might just get him a few extra votes.

“However, the idea of that would go right over his head.

“He has never cooked in his life and wouldn’t know where to start. The fact is he dines out every day of his life.

“He wouldn’t even realise some people are upset because he never makes a cup of tea.” Glenda reckons the biggest problem Louis, 71, faces is boredom. She added: “We all forget how long the days are inside the Big Brother House. I’d say deep down inside Louis is dying to get out of the House.

“I’d say he is bored out of his mind at times living with people he hardly knows, some of whom you get on with and some you don’t.

“I would imagine he misses his mobile phone, all the daily showbiz gossip, and his friends.

“I’d say he is absolutely dying to know what is going on outside.”

Glenda said she was surprised the Westlife manager agreed to go into the Big Brother House in the first place but reckons he and Sharon had a chat and persuaded each other to do it.

She added: “I think he is very entertaining and the house would be a very boring place if he wasn’t in it. He is holding his own and I believe he can

win.”
