Six Nations 2025 tickets offered at 10 times face value.. before they even go on sale

NEXT year’s Six Nations’ fixtures were unveiled only days ago - but already ticket websites are flogging hyperinflated prices for Ireland’s two home games.

Fans accused sellers of cashing in on our back-to-back triumphs, while rugby officials issued warnings.

It was confirmed yesterday that tickets have not been released yet.

But match day passes for the Dublin games against England and France in February were on offer yesterday – with rip-off prices pushed up 900% by third-party sellers.

As much as €1,250 is being asked for €125 tickets in the stands.

Rugby bosses have warned fans to only buy from official sources. The Irish Rugby Football Union last night issued a statement to the Mirror saying: “We urge all Irish supporters to exercise caution when making ticket purchases that are not coming from an authorised seller.”

The surge in interest follows Ireland’s historic Six Nations glory on March 16 thanks to the 17-13 success against Scotland.

That victory made Ireland backto-back Six Nations champions for only the third time in history, matching the heroics of 1949 and 2015.

The fixtures for next year’s competition were announced on March 9.

Prices for the home match against England on February 1, 2025, start at nearly €800. Reputable travel firms were advertising packages for fans to pre-book at a cost of around €950 each, including one night’s accommodation.

But several resale websites were listing exact areas of the Aviva Stadium, even before official tickets have been released.

Upper tier tickets were yesterday quoted at €790 each and lower tier ones were available from €990 to €1,230.

Six Nations Rugby chief Tom Harrison said of the 2025 Guinness Six Nations fixtures: “The Guinness Men’s Six Nations delivers blockbuster entertainment for fans all over the world.

“The Championship never fails to deliver unpredictable excitement and experiences for

fans to look forward to and then savour.

“The announcement of the next instalment of fixtures is always keenly anticipated by fans. The combination of world class match day experiences and extensive broadcast coverage of the games, mean fans can already begin looking forward to what is in store next year.”

RTE and Virgin Media will cover the 2025 games in Ireland, with BBC and ITV sharing coverage in the UK.
