Louis has changed his tune about Ronan

Walsh says CBB pop at former Boyzone star was just ‘a bit of panto’

LOUIS Walsh has heaped praise on Ronan Keating after calling the Boyzone star “a p***k” on Celebrity Big Brother.

The music mogul from Mayo shocked viewers when he opened up about the Dublin singer while in the house.

But speaking on ITV’S This Morning yesterday, Louis said it’s all just “a bit of panto between the two of us” and he doesn’t “resent” him.

He told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard: “Ronan and I are a little bit of panto. I loved working with him.

“He was a great worker. He is very driven, very good.”

Ben added: “And very talented?” To which Louis replied: “Yeah. He sacked me so I don’t say great things about him but I don’t resent him.

“He’s a good person so I have to put that out there. So it’s a bit of panto between the two of us.”

Ronan, 47, told Patrick Kielty on Friday’s Late Late Show that Louis “showed his true colours” in the house.

When asked how long Keating thought Walsh should stay in the Big

Brother house, Keating said: “As long as he would like to. He’s doing a great job I hear. I’ve never been one to air my dirty laundry in public, especially when it comes to Louis and myself.

“He does a very good job of that and I think he’s showing his true colours in there and I’ll leave him be.”

Louis said he should have been more mindful about his comments when he took aim at Ronan, Jedward, Simon Cowell, Mark Owen and Cheryl Cole.

The 71-yearold said: “Yeah, I should’ve been but I’m not and that’s what makes the show.

“You’re just being honest. You got to tell it like it is.”

But Louis admitted there were times when he forgot about the cameras in the house when he was talking to other housemates. He said: “A little bit. I wasn’t being malicious about it. Nobody is perfect. I’ve worked with people that I’ve said things about that I kind of regret. I do regret that. Generally.”

However, he said he hasn’t yet heard from Simon Cowell, adding: “No because it’s not his show. I love Simon and I loved working with him. He liked Cheryl yeah… I liked Cheryl. I loved working with Cowell.”

But Louis also revealed the “nights were the hardest” on the show.

He said: “You’ve no idea. Back in the real world. It was nothing like I thought it was going to be. It was a lot tougher. I could cope with the days but I couldn’t cope with the nights.

“It was a dark room, and it was locked, I couldn’t get out. That drove me crazy for a while. I was waiting for somebody to wake up every morning for contact. I wasn’t sleeping at all. I was absolutely shattered.”

Louis also revealed why he went into the Big Brother house – and hit back at those who described him as “lazy”.

He said: “I was asked a few times before and I always said no and I said no at the start and then somebody said if you don’t do this, you’re going to be sorry. I thought ‘life is too

short’.”
