Walsh reveals fee for going on show

LOUIS Walsh has revealed he made almost €1million for signing up to Celebrity Big Brother.
The former X Factor judge, who came fourth in the competition, was rumoured to have earned over a half a million euro for agreeing to go into the house.
But now the Mayo man has revealed he earned much more for the three-week stint.
In an interview with the Sunday Independent, Walsh said: “They convinced me. They said I was going to be safe; it was going to be fun, that I would probably win it.
“I told them I didn’t want to win it. Don’t waste it on me. Give it to someone else. They said they really, really wanted me.
“They kept on at me, and still I said no, because I was scared.
“I don’t want to be a celebrity. It’s a fake world. I have no desire.
“I like music and staying under the radar.”
When asked his rumoured pay packet, he said, “They paid me a lot of money,” before revealing it was close to €1million.
But the 71-year-old also revealed he hasn’t watched himself back on it and will never do something like that again. He added: “I still haven’t watched it and
I don’t want to. It was nothing like I thought it would be. It wasn’t easy.”
Last week, Louis revealed that he only gave his phone number to two other housemates, and wasn’t interested in keeping in contact with anyone else – besides his dear friend Sharon Osbourne.
He added: “I didn’t give David [Potts] my number, he’s a nice guy but he sings too much.
“I gave my number to Lauren [Simon] and I loved Marisha [Wallace]. She’s a great girl.”
