Phillip Schofield and wife seen for first time in months with matching puppies
PHILLIP Schofield’s wife appears to have forgiven the lying TV presenter after they were spotted walking matching puppies on his birthday.
The former This Morning star was seen with Stephanie Lowe as he turned 62 on Monday.
Just days before their first appearance together in months, the estranged couple would have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on Friday.
But they separated when Schofield admitted lying to his family and ITV bosses about an affair with a young male runner from This Morning.
Schofield and Stephanie, who married in 1993, appear to have chocolate cockapoo puppies from the same litter.
They held the dogs, which they got in February, close to their chests before crossing a road in West London.
Schofield and Stephanie looked casual and relaxed in jeans and black tops, with Phillip wearing a grey jumper and his wife a light blue coat and shades.
The couple, who share adult daughters Molly and Ruby, have not divorced despite Schofield coming out as gay in 2020 and his affair with a colleague.
Last May, he said: “I did have a consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague at This Morning.
DEVASTATED
I did something that was wrong and then lied about it. How do you live with that? PHILLIP SCHOFIELD SPEAKING LAST YEAR ABOUT HIS AFFAIR
“That relationship was unwise but not illegal. It is now over.”
In June, Schofield admitted upheaval in his marriage but hinted he and Stephanie could repair their relationship.
It followed reports that she was furious and devastated by his affair.
Phillip told the BBC: “I had a wonderful marriage, have a wonderful marriage, although it’s not brilliant right now, with an incredibly supportive wife and two wonderful children.”
Schofield, who was seen out for a walk with his puppy and daughter Molly in February, has kept a low profile since he dramatically quit TV last year.
At the time, the star said: “I’m not in television any more, I don’t know what I am even remotely – if I get through this.
“I don’t know even remotely how I move forward. I did something very wrong and then I lied about it consistently and you can’t live with that. How do you live with that?”
He has not worked for almost a year after leaving This Morning last May.
His co-presenter and former close friend Holly Willoughby later left the programme, with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard taking over last month.
