Prof T (Ben Miller) – aka Jasper –is being held on remand after discharging an unlicensed firearm in a bust-up with a villain – a move that has certainly taken this series in a different direction.
Jasper has decided to remain silent to protect his old flame DCI Christina Brand (Juliet Aubrey), but will she allow him to incriminate himself to save her career?
He is about to be charged with attempted murder, although she doesn’t seem to care – and she’s certainly not going to confess anything. “Jasper, what on Earth have they done to you?” cries his mother Adelaide (Frances de La Tour), who has decided to visit her son in jail.
