We really really want a reunion
Mel B pledges 2024 Spice Girls tour.. but Victoria says ‘no’
EXCLUSIVE MEL B has promised the Spice Girls will reunite on tour again this year to celebrate their 30th anniversary, however Victoria has ruled herself out.
In new chapters of her memoir, Mel, 48, talks of a band reunion, saying: “The Spice Girls will all be out there, all five of us together again – yes, I’m saying it, it will happen.”
Last month, she told ITV’S Jonathan Ross that plans for the 2024 tour were being finalised.
But Victoria Beckham has vetoed the idea.
Speaking to Radio France, the fashion designer, 49, said: “There have been lots of rumours about tours and performances but that will not happen.
“It would be lovely for us to do something to celebrate [the 30th anniversary] – a dinner or a lunch – and reminisce. But, yes, it will not be any more than that.”
The group – Mel, Victoria, Mel C, Geri and Emma – formed in 1994 and had a string of worldwide hits before breaking up in 2000. Their memorable performances include the 1997 BRIT Awards.
In her updated book, Mel tells of the band’s backstage dramas during their 2019 reunion tour.
She says: “There are rows. There are nightmare moments. Lots of stress.”
She also told how their backstage requests included ice baths, a bed and Wotsits.
She says: “Mel C had her ice baths. Geri [Horner] got an actual bed in her dressing room. I have palo santo incense, organic snacks, Midget Gems, Wotsits.”

THERAPY
And she told how her life is getting back on track after a troubled marriage. Mel says: “I am getting better. The therapy is working. Someday soon I do believe things will improve.”
The star has three children – Angel, 16, with actor Eddie Murphy; Phoenix, 25, with exhusband Jimmy Gulzar, and Madison, 12, with Stephen Belafonte.
She was married to Belafonte until 2017 in what she alleged was an abusive relationship. He denies the claim.
The new paperback version of Mel B’s book Brutally Honest is out now by Quadrille publishing.
