Just 18 for Leinster v Saints tie

- BY MICHAEL SCULLY

HILL 16 tickets will go on sale for €18 for Leinster’s Champions Cup semi-final clash with Northampton Saints on May 4.

EPCR chiefs have announced the price of tickets for the Croke Park clash that will go on sale to the public on Friday at 10am.

The Aviva Stadium was not full to capacity for last year’s last four clash with Toulouse and the tournament organisers came under fire from Leinster for the price structure at the time.

Blues boss Leo Cullen appealed for fans not to be “ripped off” this time as he wants to see the 82,300 capacity ground filled.

On average, tickets are €10 cheaper than 12 months ago, with the game moved to Croke Park because the Aviva is unavailable.

Premium tickets are priced at €90 for Premium, Category 1 at €75,

Category 2 at €55, Category 3 at €38 and Category 4 (Hill 16) at €18, which is cheaper than last year’s equivalent.

Tickets for the Hill for the Leinster SFC clash between Dublin and Meath yesterday cost €20, and they cost €25 for the double-header Division 1 and 2 League football finals recently.

Leinster attack coach Andrew Goodman can’t wait for the Croker collision.

“Aw, man, how good would that be, a sell-out at Croke Park?” he said.

“I’ve been there twice, actually, I’ve been there for All Blacks-ireland.

“I was touring around with a couple of mates for that tour, so a magical day to be a part of as a supporter, and then I watched a bit of Gaelic there as well – the drawn 2013 All-ireland hurling final between Clare and Cork.

“So yeah, what an amazing place, and if we can fill that stadium up it will be huge for Dublin, for Ireland and for us.

“It would be an amazing experience.”
