Best memory There are many precious memories — our wedding day, the birth of our children, but one that always stands out for me is the day my now husband of 28 years and I moved into our first rented flat together. It was actually a mews just off Lower Baggot Street. We moved in on a Saturday and because it came furnished and we had few possessions, by 6pm that evening it looked like it had been home for months. We did our first proper food shop together across the road in Tesco, we were all set up for our first Sunday in our new home. Later we had drinks with friends in

The Pembroke Inn and I remember the feeling of excitement

looking forward to starting our life together.

Best actor/actress Jessica Lange would have been the answer to that question for years but now I’d have to say Jessie Buckley. The portrayal of that Nurse in Fargo, The Lost Daughter with Olivia Colman give only a hint of what’s to come I think.

Best gig KD Lang in the NCH in 2019. It was the last gig of the Ingenue Anniversary tour. Up there with Tom Waits in London in the late 80’s. KD Lang has always been one of my favourite vocalists and her voice was as stunning as it was when I last saw her at the National Stadium back in the eighties. Her show in 2919 was, I believe. her last as she says she no longer wishes to tour, I really hope she changes her mind.

Best joke I don’t have a favourite joke. I think I have been around comedy and comedians for too long. Very often at the end of a comedy festival I will tell my husband that I am comedied out. I can’t remember jokes, never mind punchlines. The one thing guaranteed to crack me up is my husband’s dancing. I am not talking about dance floor dad dancing. He will break into these mad routines at any given moment around the house, there is rarely any music playing.
