Shakira’s split up was a ‘dark time’

SHAKIRA has broken her silence on her split from long-term beau Gerard Pique.

The songstress, who shares two children with the footballer, described the breakup as the “darkest period of her life” in the October edition of magazine.

They were an item for 12 years and share two sons, nineyear-old Milan and seven-year-old Sasha, and the Waka Waka singer has avoided discussing the subject until now.

Situation

“Oh, this is really hard to talk about personally, especially as this is the first time I’ve ever addressed this situation in an interview,” she admitted to the outlet.

MONTY Python star Eric Idle has told how he beat pancreatic cancer after nicknaming his tumour Kenny to make it “less threatening”.

The comic actor said he was a “dead man walking” until his doctor spotted the killer lump after suggesting an extra set of tests.

Eric (79) told how he feared the worst three years ago when he was told he had the lethal disease he once wrote a comedy play about.

But surgeons at CedarsSinai hospital, Los Angeles, were able to cut the disease out cleanly because it was at an early stage.

He wrote in Time magazine that he wept with relief before celebrating with an appearance on the American version of variety show The Masked Singer.

Eric is also launching cancer charity the Bright Side Fund, named after his comedy song Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.

Lymph

The joker said: “It was pancreatic cancer.

“He has cut it all out. It was not attached to anything and my lymph nodes were clear.

“The cancer is gone. They could find no further trace. I had been a dead man walking. I am going to live.”
