Margaret’s tribute to her three slain children comes as her son Andy Cash (24) remains on remand in prison — charged with their murder.
Mr Cash last appeared in court on September 9, where he was further remanded into custody.
He appeared before Cloverhill District Court via video link from the Midlands Prison in Portlaoise and did not comment when asked to confirm his name.
He is set to appear before the court again on October 6 for directions from the DPP.
In an earlier court appearance a solicitor for Mr Cash stated that he would be seeking a psychological assessment for his client.
During the children’s funerals earlier this month, the congregation were told that Lisa Cash’s siblings Chelsea and Christy Cawley were her “whole life” and that she was the “mammy” of her friend group.
Coffins
A huge crowd gathered after the three white coffins were brought to St Aidan’s Church in Tallaght on September 9.
An emotional friend of Lisa said the group don’t know how they will go on without her.
She said that she was dedicated to looking after her younger siblings.
She said: “I will never forget you. You were my best friend. You were the mammy of the group.
“A piece of my heart is completely broken. There were your whole life. You were always there for them and when you weren’t there you were talking about them.”
Chief celebrant of the mass, Fr Paul O’Driscoll, spoke of the community’s heartache and said: “Bereft of words, all of us hold the same question, how could this be happening?”
Commending the children’s 14-yearold brother, Mikey, for raising the alarm he added: “Your bravery and strength to raise the alarm, to go and get help is an inspiration of courage and love.”
The children were later laid to rest together at Bohernabreena Cemetery.
