ALMOST half a million tuned in to watch Derry

Girls star Leah O’Rourke and John Nolan eliminated from Dancing With The Stars.

Figures released by RTE reveal that an average 488,000 tuned into week three of the RTE One show, which saw its first elimination.

“I would love to do something totally different. Like I know comedy is the field I have ended up in, which I love but it would be amazing to do like a serious drama like a murder mystery or something. I would love that.”

Regrets

Speaking about being the first to be eliminated from Dancing With The Stars, Leah said she has no regrets signing up to do the show.

“You only live once and a show like this is not going to come around again.

“If I had turned it down I would have always been looking back wondering what it would have been like.

“For me, looking back, that first paso doble felt like a dream. It is mad.

“If I have another role where there is dance involved, it won’t be as scary now,” she told The Ryan Tubridy Show on RTÉ Radio 1.

A spokesman for RTE said: “Show three saw the first elimination of the series where actress Leah O’ Rourke along with her pro partner John Nolan left the series.

“The show had an average audience of 488,000 viewers (including RTÉ One+1), and a 38 per cent share.”
