FORMER State pathologist, Marie Cassidy, admitted she felt sorry for her partner after she became the second contestant eliminated from Dancing With The Stars.

The fleet-footed doctor was praised by the judges for her elegance as she performed a foxtrot to Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians with Stephen Vincent in last night’s movie themed show.

However the 15 points from the judges wasn’t enough to save them as they came up last following a public vote.

Speaking afterwards, a deflated Marie said: “I had the best partner and I’m just sorry he has to go with me!”

Singer Brooke Scullion with her partner Robert Rowinski, danced a passionate paso doble to The Greatest Show from The Greatest Showman.

Eurovision star Brooke impressed the judges, with Loraine telling her: “What I see is the greatest showman, matched with the great showgirl, on the great show in Ireland!”

Fellow judge Arthur was equally gushing, as he told Brooke: “You are the leading lady!”

Brooke and Robert scored 24 from the judges.

Former Ireland rugby player S h a n e Byrne and Karen Byrne entertained with a tango to Wreck-It, Wreck-It Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph.

Judge Brian said: “You put a lot of quality tango movements in there. It maybe just needed a bit more sharpness, but overall not a bad go.”

2FM Breakfast host Carl Mullan and Emily Barker took to the floor with an American Smooth to If I Didn’t Have You from Monsters Inc, taking home 20 points.

Finally, Damian McGinty and Kylee Vincent rocked a jive to Burning Love from Elvis, for a respectable 25.

The professional dancers performed a showstopper to City of Stars/Another Day of Sun from the movie La La Land.
