GNARLY HARLEYS
TURNING 120-years-old is a special occasion, and HarleyDavidson is celebrating in style.
The Milwaukee company has already planned huge gatherings at its factory and in Europe, and now it’s introducing some unique new models.
The most desirable of these is the CVO Road Glide Limited Anniversary, which features a stunning paint design featuring panels with Heirloom Red that it applies over an Anniversary Black base coat.
A bright red pinstripe and gold scallop complete the detailed look.
Other details include an Alcantara seat with red and gold stitching. The powertrain has gold-tone inserts, bright red rocker boxes, and pushrod tube collars.
Harley plans to produce only 1,500 examples of the CVO Road Glide worldwide, and each bike will have a laser-etched panel with the serial number mounted on the fuel tank console.
Similar designs will also be applied to a range of other Special Anniversary models, with models using paint schemes inspired by early motorcycles.
Additional details include an Art Deco eagle tank medallion, seat covers with red side panels, gold embroidered Harley-Davidson logo, and red fade powertrain inserts.
These will include the Ultra Limited Anniversary, Tri Glide Ultra Anniversary, Street Glide Special Anniversary, Road Glide Special Anniversary and Heritage Classic 114 Anniversary. The Fat Boy 114 Anniversary will be the highest-produced model with 3,000 examples, while the rest will range from between 1,100 and 1,700 examples.
Cruise
Another new feature will be the standard fitment of electronic cruise control on the Fat Boy, Fat Bob, Breakout and Low Rider S models.
Harley is also adding the option of traction control to the Breakout, Low Rider S and Low Rider ST models.
