‘Inclusive’ slogan no fix for housing crisis

GASLIGHTING IS ON BRAND

-

The 35-year-old Hollywood actress, who stars in Guardians of the Galaxy, last year revealed she is trying to control her anxiety through her diet and exercise.

She is not thought to be a vegetarian as her diet was said to include fish and lean meat. She recently made an appearance at a panto in her home city.

THERE’S nothing like slapping a snazzy theme on our national day of celebration to try to hoodwink us all into thinking the country isn’t going to hell in a handcart.

Culture Minister Catherine Martin takes the Government’s gaslighting prize of the week as she announced, without any shame, that this St Patrick’s Day festival would be branded as ‘We Are One’.

This theme is about “inclusivity”, in light of the recent fractious environment asylum seekers have found themselves in after landing in an Ireland beset by major housing problems. no stone unturned in investigating a vile attack on these lads over the weekend. But he hasn’t called for an investigation into why they have been living in tents through the depths of winter in the first place. Funny that.

While the attack should be condemned, it comes at a time when there are many people who don’t feel a

part of this ‘inclusive’ society.

Homeless

It includes those waiting for years on housing lists, students who can’t afford accommodation, families facing the threat of eviction as rents rocket, and over 11,000 already confirmed as homeless. Is it any wonder there’s a lot of anger, and questions over takeing in up to 70,000 refugees in a year when our housing system is banjaxed? And the anger’s coming from all sides, as the violence in the Citywest asylum seeker centre last week showed.

We Are In One Big Mess and no amount of paddywhackery branding nonsense can disguise it.
