Dance-off gave star ‘extra motivation’ MALLON

DANCING With The Stars hopeful Rosanna Davison has admitted she “accepted” when her name was called to face the dance-off.

The former Miss World was saved by judges Brian Redmond, Loraine Barry and Arthur Gourounlian on Sunday night.

That’s after she and pro partner Stephen Vincent ended up in the bottom two with Eileen Dunne and Robert Rowinski.

Eileen was voted off the show, but Rosanna (39) said she was glad to get the first-dance off over her.

She added: “There wasn’t much time to panic and I think the feedback that we danced better than the first time around, so we’ll take that.

“I’m just delighted to be safe and going into Orchestra Week, I’m really going to give it my all.

Couples

“I was very accepting. Two couples had to be in the danceoff, so why not us? Hopefully, we have the dance-offs out of the way, and we won’t have to do it again.”

Rosanna said that by being chosen had given them “extra motivation and fire in our bellies to work really harder than normal”.

The mum-of-three explained: “I do not think being in the dance off necessarily means you’re going to leave the show. I think what we’ll do is take it as a motivating factor for next week’s show.

“We’ll go into next week positive and hope we aren’t in the dance-off again.”

Luckily for Rosanna, she didn’t have the added pressures of her parents in the audience who were “tuning in” at a wedding.

She added: “They loved dedicated dance week and really want to go to orchestra week so I’m just very relieved that they will be able to sit in the audience that weekend.

Grateful

“There are many reasons to be grateful to go through to next week.” Rosanna said she was sorry Eileen was voted off, admitting she “was such an asset to the show”. She said: “Everybody loves Eileen. I actually said sorry to her because really it was us who got the position next week and she has to go.”
