Mr Rafferty of Castlegrange Close in Clondalkin was the first to appear. He wore a grey and black North Face tracksuit.
Garda Patrick Fallon gave evidence of arrest, charge, and caution.
Garda Fallon said the accused was arrested at Ballyfermot Garda Station at 10.05 pm and was charged by Sergeant Stephen Walsh at 10.27 pm.

Both were also charged with assault causing harm to David Druzinec – Mr Strok’s pal who was injured in the incident.
Mr Strok (31) suffered head injuries after an incident at Grange View Way in Clondalkin on March 30.
Injuries
On April 3, Mr Strok, who was from Croatia, died of his injuries in Tallaght Hospital.
Mr Rafferty was represented by Luke Staines, who said his client would apply for bail on the assault charge at his next court appearance.
Mr DeLappe was represented by Valerie Buckley, who said her client would do the same.
Both men were remanded in custody and will appear before Cloverhill District Court on May 2.
The date of the murder charge was amended from March 30 to April 3 after a Garda request.
Both men were granted legal aid.
