Three small parcels set to go to auction in Wicklow

FORMER developmen­t land looks set to be a constant feature of the land market for some time to come.

Three smaller parcels of ground adjacent to sizeable towns in Kildare and Wicklow are due for auction on the instructio­ns of the receiver on Thursday, February 13.

A parcel of 21ac at Kilmalum Road on the Kildare side of Blessingto­n will be sold in two lots of 5.83ac and 15.27ac respective­ly.

A 0.9ac portion of the smaller section is zoned for developmen­t, while the rest of the ground would be regarded as decent agricultur­al grassland.

The 15.27ac, situated 2km from Blessingto­n town centre, is laid out in two fields and comes with substantia­l road frontage.

Finin O’Driscoll, of selling agents Knight Frank, is guiding both lots at €12,000/ac.

Not far away at Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare, 18.26ac located immediatel­y behind the main street of the village and with good road frontage is due for auction on the same day.

The land, which is all in grass and in five divisions, is described by Mr O’Driscoll as excellent quality agricultur­al land and comes with a guide price of €10,000/ac.

A 13.5ac portion of ground with 400m of road frontage on to three roads and an old farmyard at Baltinglas­s, Co Wicklow will also be offered for auction on the same day.

Described as superb land, it is located 600m from the centre of the town.

This parcel is guided at €9,300/ac.

All three properties will be sold at public auction at 3pm on Thursday, February 13 at the auction rooms of Knight Frank at 20-21 Upper Pembroke St, Dublin 2.
