Landini upgrades its compact tractor range

IT’S tempting to focus on tractors and machinery that are at the top end of the spectrum. But every now and then it’s good to take a look at something smaller. With that in mind, Landini’s new all-purpose compact range has been upgraded, with prices from just €25,000 including VAT for the flagship model.

According to Patrick Ryan of Landini importers for Ireland, D & S Machinery, the Landini 2 series replaces the existing Mistral range with a modern and agile solution. A platform version and a cabbed version will be available.

This new tractor series shares some of the common design and styling elements of the hood and roof designs from others in the range, which continues on with the modern family look of Landini.

Mr Ryan explained that three models are available: the 2-045, the 2-050, and the 2-060. All are equipped with 4-cylinder Yanmar engines. The 2-045 model offers max power of 44hp and the 2-050 offers max power of 47.5hp. The bigger model 2-060 is fitted with a turbo and is rated at 54.2hp max power.

TRANSMISSION

The basic transmission (12 forward and 12 reverse) is integrated with a creeper offering a choice of up to 32 gears. These 4-WD models have a top speed of 30km/hr. The shuttle lever is located close to the steering wheel on the left hand side. The gear and range selection levers are on the right hand side of the steering wheel in line with the latest design standards.

The hydraulic system provides a maximum flow rate of 47,7 litres/min. The mechanical rear lift with Cat 1 three-point linkage can lift up to 1200 kg. The system features two standard double acting auxiliary valves, while a third is optional. The 2 Series has a diesel tank capacity of 40 litres.

All models in this range have a short wheelbase of 1760mm. The total weight of the models in this range is 1460kg (without ballast or cab). The 2 Series comes as standard without a cab.

A cab is available as an option featuring full glazing and air conditioning.

The range is probably best suited for agricultural and horticulture users where space it at a premium in buildings such as stables and older sheds.

Customers have the option of ordering the 2-Series with a factory fitted Landini front loader. There is also the option of fitting turf types on the 2Series which make the tractor ideal for cutting grass on estates, golf courses and sports pitches.
