- JIM O’BRIEN

A FARM made up of 94ac of the best Co Meath farming ground is coming to public auction with a guide price of €1m or over €10,500/ac.

Located at Ballymacoll, Dunboyne the holding is located close to Ballymacoll Stud and Maynooth.

Laid out in four fields of old pasture the land is fenced with traditional hedgerow providing excellent shelter.

The farm is situated in the heart of good farming and stud country and, according to Phillip Byrne of selling agents Coonans, is suitable for grazing, lifestock or bloodstock.

The holding has a farmyard that includes a six-column shed and stock handling facilities. With about 300m of road frontage the place has plenty of access and can be bought as an entire or in lots comprising of 32ac and 62ac.

The farm will be sold by public auction at the Glenroyal Hotel Maynooth on Thursday, September 22 at 3pm.

At the same auction a 34ac parcel of pasture at Bryanstown, Maynooth will be brought for sale.

Located 4km from Maynooth and 6km from Kilcock the property is laid out in three fields with plenty of frontage on to a public road. According to Phillip Byrne the place could have the makings of an ideal site subject to the necessary planning permission.

Guided at €10,000-€12,000/ac. Mr Byrne believes the property will attract a range of customers from local farmers to customers who might want to develop a farm business within striking distance of the capital.
