NATHAN CARTER will release new single ‘Livin’ The Dream’ on Thursday, which reflects his incredible life these days.

It also sums up the life of a Limerick man Don Mescall, who co-wrote the song with Nathan.

Don’s songs have sold over 10 million records worldwide and notched up more than 16 million hits on YouTube.

They have been recorded by an army of artists and groups, including Rascal Flatts, The Backstreet Boys, Lonestar, Boyzone, Ronan Keating, Lulu, The High Kings, Frances Black and Aslan. “Don is a very talented and inspiring guy, and I loved working with him,” Nathan says.

In keeping with the theme of the song, Nathan last week shot a video for ‘Livin’ The Dream’ in Nashville, where he has been writing and recording his next album. While in Nashville, Nathan also met up with country legend Crystal Gayle after her performance at the Grand Ole Opry.

America is now opening up for the ‘Wagon Wheel’ singer since he landed the support of PBS television in that territory.

PBS is the TV network that helped to launch several Irish shows and artists, including Riverdance, Daniel O’Donnell, Celtic Woman and Celtic Thunder.

The Nathan Carter Show was screened last week on PBS in Detroit and became an instant hit. It will now be shown in other territories coast to coast.

It is a phenomenal achievement for the Liverpool-born country-folk singer, who was also recently honoured at The Irish World newspaper awards in London.

“I received the Best International Country Artist Award, which was a reminder of just how far I’ve come in recent years,” Nathan tells me.

“Back in 2008, I was presented with a Best Newcomer Award at the same event. I was just 17 at the time and looking for a break.”

Now he’s living the dream!
