Trade at Sixmilebridge on Saturday was described by Sean Ryan as “good”. Depending on how quickly you wanted your investment back, you could have had gone the long road with five 490kg Limousin bullocks at €1,110/hd or taken a shorter punt — say June or July time — on four 618kg Friesians at €1140/hd. The weanling trade was a flyer with Limousin, Charolais and Hereford bulls making up to €2.70/ kg, with Belgian Blues making €2.95/kg, as buyers with eyes on Turkey got serious.
