A 151ac farm of powerful Meath ground comes with a single farm payment of €25,000 per annum, reports

-

THE weather was still holding up when I went to see a substantial 151ac residential farm at Harristown near Kinnegad in Co Meath. Set around a fine Georgian house in very good condition, the farm has the best of facilities and great land. It is a ready to go viable farm and comes to auction with a basic farm payment of €25,500 and a guide price of €2m.

Located at Harristown, Kinnegad, Co Meath the farm is 6.5km from Kinnegad, , 21km from Mullingar and 60km from Dublin

The property is approached by an avenue that divides with one part leading to the house and the other to the farmyard.

The holding is all in one block with extensive road frontage and sweeps down to the banks of the Boyne.

The house is a 19th Century Georgian residence with two floors over the basement.

The rooms are elegant and airy with a spacious modern kitchen to the back that leads on to a sunroom overlooking the mature gardens and the land. Other rooms on the ground floor include the dining room a drawing room and a sitting room situated around a bright hallway. There is a guest WC on this floor.

Upstairs are five large bedrooms with great views over the countryside while the accommodation on this floor also includes a family bathroom.

Outbuildings

Outside there are traditional-style outbuildings such as an old coach house and a partly cobble-locked yard leading to a magnificent walled garden currently under grass.

The yard is extensive with the best of buildings and cattle accommodation for up to 400 cattle. There is no doubt but the place has been well farmed and the buildings are testament to that.

The accommodation includes a double round roofed seven-bay slatted shed, a six-bay slatted shed, an A-roof open shed with lean–tos containing sheep pens and slats, two meal bins and a highroofed, three-bay machinery
