Auction season gets into full swing in Greater Dublin region

THIS week sees a flurry of action in the auction rooms with Coonan’s of Maynooth handling the sale of several farming properties on this Wednesday and Thursday.

Tomorrow a 45ac parcel of Dublin land is the first to come to auction.

Located at Calliaghst­own Upper, Rathcoole, the farm is 4km from Rathcoole, 4km from Brittas and 14km from Dublin City centre.

Laid out in two fields of pasture the holding comes with good road frontage and is serviced by a farm road.

The guide price is €8,000/ ac and it will be auctioned at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth tomorrow, Wednesday June 14 at 3pm.

MEATH AUCTION

At the same auction a 58.47ac parcel of ground at Woodland, Batterstow­n, Co Meath with €6,000 in entitlemen­ts will be brought for sale with a guide price of €500,000 or €8,600/ac.

Located 11km from Dunboyne, 8km from Summerhill and 6km from Clonmullen the farm is adjacent to the Eirgrid facility and has good road frontage.

The grazing ground is laid out in ten manageable fields that are in good heart and well fenced with traditiona­l hedgerow.

ASHBOURNE AUCTION

On Thursday REA Coonan and Thomas J O’Driscoll Auctioneer­s, Cork are handling the sale of two parcels of ground, 41ac at Fleenstown and 26ac at the Wotton near Ashbourne in Co Meath.

Described as prime free draining agricultur­al lands the holding at Fleenstown consists of 41ac laid out in two main divisions.

The land is currently in stubble with about 8ac in grass and fenced into paddocks. Both parcels are approximat­ely 10 minutes’ drive from Dublin Airport and about 20 minutes from Dublin city.

Guided at €10,000/ac, the properties will be sold at auction at the Pillo Hotel, Ashbourne at 3pm this Thursday, June 15.
