Many Mun­ster ar­eas have seen a sharp de­cline in suck­ler herds re­cently as the dairy dol­lar ex­erts its in­flu­ence on farm­ing choices. But there are still enough men even here for true suck­ler stock to com­mand bet­ter than €3/kg for wean­ling bulls. As was the case of three 275kg Charo­lais bulls who sold for €3.16/kg or the 300kg Limousin who saw the ham­mer drop at €3.06/kg.
