Working in partnership to tackle poverty
VOLUNTEER Services Overseas is an international development organisation founded in 1958 and enables volunteers to go and work in underdeveloped countries and tackle poverty in partnership with local people, organisations and local agencies.
Volunteers need to meet certain criteria to qualify: they must have at least three years’ experience in their field, have a degree or the equivalent, be fit and healthy, pass the VSO criminal record check, be able to commit for the full duration of a designated placement, be willing to live on a basic allowance and adapt to new living conditions.
