Ford Ranger

Mitsubishi L200

Still has the rugged underpinni­ngs that sold the various versions of the model to many generation­s. The price is from €25,271+VAT.

Nissan Navara

The Navara has a 2.3 diesel engine in 160/190hp options, and a full dualrange 4x4 system. The chassis is a fully-boxed ladder, and the multi-link rear suspension makes for smooth road driving as well as ability in difficult terrain. Price from €34,995 inc VAT.

SsangYong Korando Sports

Double cab pickup. A full 4x4 with selectable low ratios, and the 2.0 diesel has good towing capability. Price from €29,995.

Toyota Hilux

A legacy pickup with a fine reputation. Single and double cab formats, all powered by a 2.4 diesel. Price from €29,250 inc VAT.

VW Amarok

A big car with big performanc­e. Powered by 3.0 diesels with outputs up to 224hp; 8spd automatic gearbox. Price from €37,990 inc VAT.
