Just two to go as Steeplechase enters the final stretch
Steeplechase, Ratoath, Co Meath STEEPLECHASE, a long-running development of four and five-bed houses near Fairyhouse Racecourse, may have reached its final furlong, but there is still a chance to buy one of its two remaining properties.
In May, the developer McGarrell Reilly released the final 10 homes at the residential estate, winding up a scheme that had first launched 12 years earlier. The two final homes are five-beds — they each extend over 1,680 sq ft and cost from €435,000.
From its position on the edge of Ratoath Village, near the home of the Irish Grand National, Steeplechase overlooks green meadows and is arranged around a landscaped open space.
The exteriors of the McCrossan O’Rourke Manning-designed houses are finished in a mix of red brick and render, complemented by Nordic pine windows, landscaped front gardens and traditional cobble-lock driveways. Out back, there is a garden and a paved patio.
The interiors of the block-built properties feature greater-than-standard floor-to-ceiling heights, separate utility and storage rooms, as well as fitted classic fireplaces and bedroom wardrobes. The kitchen units, granite worktops, chrome cooker hood and stainless steel splashbacks all come from McNally Kitchens. There are hardwood internal doors throughout.
Buyers at Steeplechase who commute to Dublin can use the M3 motorway or park at the M3 Parkway and travel by train. Dublin Airport is a 25 minute drive. Enquiries to: Sherry FitzGerald (New Homes) (01) 6671888 or John FitzGerald Valuers & Estate Agents (01) 8027000.
