Coole, calm, collected

For buyers who want a bit of respite from the hectic capital – and a short commute – the final phase of the popular Croftwell development in Rathcoole is here

Homes at Croftwell have been selling like hot cakes

THE village of Rathcoole in southwest Co Dublin is always popular with house buyers, and it’s not hard to see why. While within easy reach of the city centre, it is also far enough out to offer residents that little bit of peace and quiet that is all too elusive in most parts of Dublin. It’s no surprise then that the new homes at Croftwell on School Road in the village have been selling like the proverbial hot cakes. According to the selling agents, there was “exceptional interest” in the initial launch of the development last year, with a number of units sold from plans in August 2016. The subsequent opening of a show house last September pushed sales to a new level. To date more than 44 homes of various house types have been sold at Croftwell, which will eventually comprise 60 units in total.

Buyers so far have been very much taken by the fact that the new homes allow them to escape the frantic energy of the city without losing all the practical advantages that come with living near the country’s capital. Add to that the high-spec, high-energy efficient nature of the houses, and Croftwell has established itself as one of Rathcoole’s most promising new addresses.

The scheme, which comprises a mix of three and four-bedroom family homes, has been carefully designed to make the most of its open, green spaces, thereby creating what is undoubtedly a hugely family-friendly environment. Its aim from the outset has been to provide a safe, peaceful and comfortable environment where families can thrive as part of a neighbourly community.

All Croftwell homes boast eco-friendly A3 energy ratings, with high levels of insulation incorporated in doors, walls and roofs, as well as triple-glazed high performance, low U-value windows and external doors to ensure maximum heat retention for all residents.

Buyers at Croftwell will be spoiled for choice when it comes to local amenities. Renowned eateries Avoca and An Poitin Stil are on the development’s doorstep, while shopping options in the area are practically limitless. Within easy reach are the shopping centres of City West, Liffey Valley, The Square and Dundrum, with Kildare Village just a short drive down the M7.

This is very much a family-oriented scheme, and as such, there
