Knight Thomas Clarke sits on horse Tom Wil­liams on Meath Street as dozens of lo­cal schoolchil­dren from Dublin’s his­toric Lib­er­ties and sur­round­ing ar­eas pa­raded through the streets of Dublin 8 in me­dieval cloth­ing, bran­dish­ing wooden shields, swords and ban­ners. The me­dieval pageant took place to raise aware­ness of the his­tory of the me­dieval Abbey of St. Thomas the Mar­tyr, which was lo­cated in Dublin 8, and is part of a two-day cel­e­bra­tion of the Abbey.
