Medieval madness
Knight Thomas Clarke sits on horse Tom Williams on Meath Street as dozens of local schoolchildren from Dublin’s historic Liberties and surrounding areas paraded through the streets of Dublin 8 in medieval clothing, brandishing wooden shields, swords and banners. The medieval pageant took place to raise awareness of the history of the medieval Abbey of St. Thomas the Martyr, which was located in Dublin 8, and is part of a two-day celebration of the Abbey.
