1: Pre-match meal? Bolognese with Rice ... some broccoli. Maybe pancakes with banana.

2: Favourite player growing up?

Stephen Larkham, Jonny Wilkinson and in much later years Felipe Contepomi.

3: Best away day room-mate and why?

Devin Toner. Silent sleeper ... good company and very chilled out.

4: Who would headline your house party?

DJ Church .... aka Cian Healy.

5: First song they would play? I wouldn’t know it!

6: You win the lotto, what is the first thing you would buy?

A house.

7: Favourite movie? Inglouriou­s Basterds.

8: Favourite TV show and why? Narcos. Superb TV.

9: Earliest rugby memory growing up? Playing for Bective in the minis.

10: Who is the joker in the dressing room?

Ferg McFadden or Michael Bent.

11: Favourite holiday destinatio­n and why?

Barbados. Very chilled out.

12: Favourite away ground to play at?

For Leinster it would be Clermont and then for Ireland it would be the Millennium Stadium.

13: Three people (dead or alive) who you would invite to dinner? Donald Trump, my Grandad and Zlatan Ibrahimovi­c

14: Most memorable moment in rugby?

Can’t choose between the Heineken Cup final 2011 or the win over Scotland in the Six Nations of 2014.

15: Do you have any pre-match superstiti­ons/rituals?

I try to keep the same routine the week of a game so I like to have my gear ready on a Thursday night. Have the game plan and moves well known early in the week. Then just try relax the day before.

16: Who is the best player you have played alongside and why?

Paul O’Connell, Felipe Contepomi and Brian O’Driscoll. All great for different reasons.

17: Who is the best player you have played against and why? Richie McCaw or Paul O’Connell. Just hard and relentless. Hard to be on a winning team against them.

18: Can you tell us one interestin­g fact about yourself?

I’m not as grumpy as people say!

19: Name three things that are always in your fridge? Strawberri­es, dark chocolate and Greek yoghurt.

20: Best advice you ever got? If you are going to do something then do it right, or, don’t do it at all.
