-

CHARITIES in the midwest have been told to get in touch after the JP McManus ProAm was confirmed for “The Golf Course at Adare Manor” from 6-7 July 2020.

An information evening will take place at Adare Manor today, where representatives of registered charities and not-forprofit organisations in the mid-west will learn the guidelines for the pre-qualifying classics, scheduled to begin in April.

All groups will have to hold a golf classic and raise at least €12,500 to reach the next stage in qualifying to become a beneficiary of the 2020 event, which will be played on the first Monday and Tuesday of July.

The charity extravaganza, which has raised €140,565,878 for charity since it was first played at Limerick Golf Club in 1990, was last played at Adare Manor in 2010 and there are again plans to sell caps as tickets.

Tiger Woods, Lee Westwood, Ernie Els, Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer, Tom Lehman, Jim Furyk, José María Olazábal, Thomas Bjørn, Adam Scott, Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson, J.B. Holmes and Ian Poulter all played as well as Ireland’s Rory McIlroy, Padraig Harrington, Shane Lowry, Graham McDowell, Paul McGinley and individual winner, Darren Clarke.
