Magee’s goal sets the tone for Exiles

-

WARWICKSHIRE made it two wins from two games as they eased past Longford at Pairc na hEireann.

The Exiles had to play the majority of the second half with 14 men after Donal Lynch was sent off.

Warwickshire took control with an early goal from Kelvin Magee, who then sent a penalty wide.

The hosts led by 1-9 to 0-5 at the break.

Even after Lynch was sent off, Warwickshire were able to keep their visitors at arm’s length.

A goal was needed if Longford were to get something out of the game. However, try as they might, they couldn’t raise the green flag, with Sean Stakelum coming closest.
