FITZMAURIC­E’S POBALSCOIL SINK ‘THE SEM’

PS Chorca Dhuibhne 3-11 St Brendan’s Killarney 3-8 Eamonn Fitzmauric­e’s Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne ended St Brendan’s reign as Munster and All-Ireland champions to set up a Corn Uí Mhuirí decider with Marc Ó Sé’s Tralee CBS.

Pobalscoil got the game’s first goal through Deividas Uosis on three minutes but ‘The Sem’ hit back through Paul O’Shea.

Pobalscoil dominated the remainder of the first period with Niall Ó Géibheanna­igh and Seamus Aghás finding the net.

Cian Gammell and Ciaran Flynn hit back for The Sem but Pobalscoil held on for the win.

Coláiste Choilm 1-6

A late point from centre-back John Walsh gave Tralee CBS victory over 14-man Coláiste Choilm at Baile Bhúirne.

Having led by 0-7 to 0-4 at half-time, Tralee CBS pushed further ahead when Seán Quilter scored his fifth point soon after the restart.

However, ‘The Green’ struggled against the wind and were held scoreless as Colm O’Callaghan’s goal gave Coláiste Choilm the break they needed.

James O’Sullivan pointed to give Ballincoll­ig the lead for the first time but 16-year-old Quilter fired over his sixth to level before Walsh landed the winner.
