O’Connor hat-trick fires Christians

-

ADAM O’CONNOR’S hat-trick was the highlight as seven second-half tries secured an impressive victory for Christians.

The sides swapped penalties before winger O’Connor burst through several tackles after Eoin Monahan’s skip pass to finish smartly, Robert Hedderman converting with aplomb.

The Limerick outfit weren’t going to capitulate, however, and minutes later Adam Marshall bore a hole through the home defence to finish under the posts.

Tommy Crowe’s side continued to be frustrated as the penalty count rose, but a break down the left flank allowed Hedderman to profit from quick hands to get Christians’ second try.

Further distance was put between the sides after that as prop Robert Loftus went over. Hedderman then touched down again and O’Connor got his second as CBC f lexed their muscles. Shane Broshahan crossed for Clement’s second try before Scott Buckley got CBC’s ninth.
