Duggan seals deal for Crescent

-

CRESCENT COLLEGE’s bid to win a 12th Munster Schools Senior Cup is still on track after they saw off Rockwell College at Rosbrien in yesterday’s quarter-final.

Daniel Feasey crossed twice for the Limerick school, while Conor Fitzgerald, Conor Phillips and Timmy Duggan also got on the scoresheet.

Conall Kennedy and Tom Russell replied for Rockwell, with Jake Flannery adding 10 points from the kicking tee.

Crescent struck first through Fitzgerald, the prop showing serious speed to score.

Crescent doubled their advantage when Jack Delaney kicked wide for Feasey, and he held off a tackle before touching down. But a strong finish to the half saw Rockwell get back on level terms thanks to Kennedy’s converted effort.

An outstanding individual score from Phillips early in the second period put Crescent back in front though, 15-10.

Feasey’s second try then put Crescent in firm control, but a second Flannery penalty and Russell’s late try gave Rockwell hope. However, Duggan’s late effort sealed it for Crescent.
