Ireland offers golfers more bang for their buck

-

IRISH golf courses give you more bang for your buck according to a study carried out by Leadingcourses.com.

While Spain, Portugal and Turkey are among the most popular destinations, Ireland offers a better quality product at an attractive price.

Taking into account the average course rating in Turkey and another 17 European destinations, the top six cheapest average green fees are to be found in Wales (€34), Northern Ireland (€34), England (€35), Sweden (€37), Scotland (€43) and the Republic of Ireland (€44).

However, Ireland (north and south) has a higher course rating than all the others in the top five, which makes the combined all-Ireland product the best value in Europe.

Little wonder then that Leadingcourses.com has teamed up with ClubsToHire.com to attract more golfers to these shores.

Their website offers more than 265,000 reviews of over 19,000 golf clubs and 23,000 courses worldwide.

Using the reviews as a guide, golfers opting to travel to Ireland can use the Irish-owned club rental company to avoid paying prohibitive airline charges.

Jeroen Korving of Leading Courses said: “We are delighted to partner with Clubs to Hire as their unique product offering will allow our members to travel without all the hassle of lugging clubs and paying for oversize baggage.”
