Latest launch won’t hang about furlong

Ridgewood Manor, The Curragh, Co Kildare

-

RIDGEWOOD Manor’s location, off the Melitta Road outside Kildare town, makes it mere furlongs from The Curragh racecourse.

The Co Kildare scheme, which is just 1.5km from the racecourse’s clubhouse, is being developed by Garyaron Homes, a company run by motor rally champion Austin McHale and his two rally driving sons Gareth and Aaron.

Ridgewood Manor originally launched in June 2016, with a second phase following suit in November. When it’s complete, the scheme will have some 100 homes.

While all the four-bed, threestorey semi-detached properties from the last tranche have sold out, there are still four three-bed semis available from the B range.

Each of these has 1,280 sq ft of accommodation and starting prices ranging from €290,000 to €295,000. All the attics in the B house type have been primed for future conversion into an extra living space, giving first-time buyers the option to expand upwards if their families expand.

Designed by Dublin-based John Fleming Architects, the houses are laid out around landscaped green spaces and have an Edwardian flavour. There is a cobblelock driveway to the front with enough space to park two cars.

Inside, the tiled kitchen has painted wood units and will include integrated appliances if signed contracts are exchanged within 21 days. Each of the bedrooms comes with built-in contemporary-style wardrobes.

The A3-rated houses are a

10-minute walk from Kildare town’s train station. The train journey from Kildare town to Heuston Station takes just 25 minutes and there is also a frequent bus service. Viewings are by appointment. Enquiries to: CME Auctioneers
