WHAT NOT TO MISS THIS WEEK

-

The movie Point Break

One of the great bad movies of the Nineties gets its due courtesy of the Lighthouse’s Hollywood Babylon film club. The cinema will be transformed into a Tiki bar from 9pm while the screening gets underway at 10.45pm. Buckle up as Peak Keanu goes up against Patrick Swayze at his Swayze-iest. Tomorrow, 10.45pm, Lighthouse Cinema, Dublin

The gig

Morrissey Indie rock’s Grand Old Curmudgeon rolls into town promoting latest solo album, ‘Low In High School’. Needless to say nobody cares about the new songs — what the middle-aged fanboys want to know is: will Moz be dipping into his Smiths treasure-trove? With the American leg of the tour featuring How Soon Is Now? and I Started Something I Couldn’t Finish, the answer will surely be in the affirmative. Otherwise it’s going to be a bit of a quiff-hanger. Tuesday, 3Arena, Dublin

The kids’ show

Teletubbies Live How better to brighten a grey February than be spending time in the company of excitingly-attired eccentrics conversing in a made-up language? But if you don’t fancy re-watching old Dail footage of the Healy-Raes, why not take your kids to see these perennially beloved British TV characters giving it the full Tinky Winky? Wednesday & Thursday, Cork Opera House

The podcast What Were You Thinking?

Journalist Dina Temple-Raston interviews young people who have done inexplicable things, from joining Isis to planning a school shooting. Fascinating — but a tad depressing.

The TV Show Homeland

Because real-life American politics is far too boring, nostril-flaring CIA agent Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is back for season seven of top level skulduggery. Sunday, Channel 4, 9pm

The box-set Everything Sucks!

Terrifyingly, the Nineties are now ripe for nostalgia-based exploitation, meaning we’re going to have lots of shows such as Everything Sucks! It’s 1996 and in Boring, Oregon (an actual place), the kids are listening to Pearl Jam, playing with their Tamagotchi and absolutely not spending every waking second gawping at smartphones. It’s been heralded as Stranger Things a decade on, minus the monsters. Weren’t the monsters the best bit about Stranger Things? Now showing on Netflix
