THE Ballintyre estate was built in
2004 on the grounds of the 19thcentury house known as Ballintyre Hall in Dublin 16. It won the Irish Development of the Year award the following year for its developer Ray Grehan, who would later be declared bankrupt in the UK.
The estate continues to thrive, however. Ballintyre Square is just off Ballinteer Avenue and handily situated for faffing about outdoors in fine weather.
