Welcome to the first in the Exam Brief series for the Leaving

Cert in 2018.

Filled with expert advice and sample questions and answers, Exam Brief is the Irish Independent’s annual guide to the Leaving Cert. It is a must-read for every Leaving Cert student in the country and a helpful tool for parents keen to support their children during this time.

Once again, we are producing this series in collaboration with Yeats College, one of Ireland’s leading independent schools, which consistently delivers outstanding exam results.

The first in the series is today’s 24-page guide to preparing for both Ordinary Level and Higher Level Maths in the Leaving Cert.

Our contributors are all highly experienced teachers at Yeats College. They have provided some insightful advice around preparing for your exams as well as practical pointers on what to do while sitting each one.

The supplements will continue in the coming weeks, with Languages (English, Irish and French) next week, followed by Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Business and Finance (Business, Economics and Accounting) and Other Subjects (History, Geography and Home Economics).
