Must haves

YOUR NUMBER’S UP

Here’s another one from the Laois-based team at Blue Bridge Design. Instead of numbers, the Dot Clock marks the time with precision-cut holes in the clock face, starting with a single dot for one o’clock. It costs €40 from shop.desingist.ie.

HOP TO IT

Keep the cookies out of reach with the Hare treat jar (€22 from next.ie). Made of ceramic with an airtight seal, the jar is 32cm high and one of a number of hare-themed pieces ranging from tea towels to egg cups.

BATMAN FOREVER

The Batman armchair costs €649 from michaelmurphy.ie. It’s 92cm high and comes upholstered in a choice of green fabric, described as Grass, or Concrete. It’s not real concrete — although that would be fun — just grey-coloured fabric.

PRETTY IN ZINC

The teeny weeny zinc watering can from Tiger Stores costs just €2. You also can use it as a planter, but for that price, you could probably afford another €2 for a pretty pink flowerpot (see ie.flyingtiger.com).

LUCKY LAVENDER

“Always throw salt over your shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for good luck, and fall in love whenever you can.” I wonder if that works with faux lavender plants like this one (€6 from TK Maxx)? Best of luck with that!
