The podcast Rabbits
The divide between the real and the fantastical is bridged by this true-crime podcast. It starts as a straightforward first person narrative by reporter Carly Parker, whose friend, Yumiko, recently vanished. As she seeks to unravel the mystery, she is drawn into a Fight Club-type underworld revolving around an “ancient, mysterious” game known as Rabbits, which may or may not serve as a CIA recruiting tool.
The TV show Strike — Career of Evil
Even if you consider Harry Potter a load of Hogwarts you’ll have warmed to this adaptation of JK Rowling’s Cormoran Strike novels. The closing half of a twopart adaptation of Career of Evil finds grumpy detective Tom Burke (left) hunting a man who preys on children while his relationship with Hermioneesque side-kick (Holiday Grainger) grows frayed. Sunday, 9pm, BBC One
